I don’t handle being sick very well. Also, a video about peeing in the woods!

A Ladies Guide: How to Pee in the Woods | The Captain's Log | www.captainairyca.com

What happens if zombies come and I’m sick? I feel so vulnerable… Anyway…. I guess the one positive thing is that being sick forces me to sit still for more than a few seconds and write a blog post. I’ve been so busy lately that I’ve been seriously slacking when it comes to this blog. In my defense, I am happily employed! That’s right, this English major graduated and got a real job. Pretty cool, eh? I’ve also been working on a couple of side projects. As you’ve seen with some of my previous posts is that Cameron and I have decided to do the YouTube thing. It’s a lot of fun, but one thing I’ve learned about the YouTube world is that making videos takes a lot of time. Balancing these projects with being an adult is challenging at times. As I learn more about Adobe Premiere, I shouldn’t have to spend so much time editing our videos, but for now they take forever to do.

I have two channels going – our Cameron and Erica’s Adventures channel, which is my husband and I and the fun stuff we do, and my own personal channel. My personal channel is probably going to contain some pretty random content, much like this blog. I want to be able to share some of my life experiences with the world in hopes that I can help some people. For example, I recently made an incredibly embarrassing video called, “A Ladies Guide: How to Pee in the Woods”. Yep. I made a video about how to pee in the woods. It’s weird, but as I state in the video – being a lady in the woods is challenging sometimes!

So there’s that. We also made a video about our experience at Eugene Comic Con, Eugene’s first comic convention in 10 years. It was so much fun! Even though I never finished my Comics minor at the UO due to lack of time, I really love comics and going to the convention was awesome. We actually had a booth there as Incandescence Press because Cameron’s novel, Blazing the Sun, is a science-fiction book, which we thought may be appealing to the slightly nerdy vibe of a comic convention. As it turns out, this is very true! We sold a few books and met a lot of really great people from our hometown.

So that’s what I’ve been up to lately! I have a few ideas for new blog posts and new videos on my channel. I hope to get them up in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, and thank you so much for visiting my blog, it means a lot to me.

Until next time! PEACE.
